  Established in 1962, QVBA has prospered
tremendously with time. The association got
affiliated with Federation Internationale de
Volleyball (FIVB) in 1974. The Association
went on to join Pan-Arab Volleyball
Confederation in 1975 followed by Asian
Volleyball Federation in
1976 and Gulf Volleyball Organisational
Committee in 1981.
Achievement of Qatar National Teams
Qatar Volleyball National Team had won the
3rd place in the Independence Anniversary
Volleyball Championship held in Doha,
September 1981.
Qatar Youth Volleyball Team had won the 2nd
place in the second GCC Youth Volleyball
Championship held in Doha 1984.
Qatar Volleyball National Team ranked 4th in
the sixth Pan-Arab Games Tournament held in
Casablanca, Morocco August 1985.
Qatar Volleyball National Team was the
Winner of the second Pan-Arab Youth
Volleyball Championship held in Alexandria,
Egypt 1988.
FIVB had selected Qatar Youth National Team
to participate in the World Volleyball
Finals held in the United Arab Emirates
during 29 12.1989 – 7.01.1990 representing
the Arab countries being the Winner of the
last Pan-Arab Youth Championship.
Qatar Volleyball Junior National Team had
achieved a great accomplishment by Winning
in the third GCC
Junior Volleyball Championship held in Doha
during 15 – 20 February 1992.
Qatar Volleyball National Team had won the
second place the first GCC Men Volleyball
Championship held in Doha during 10 – 17
October 1995.
Qatar Volleyball Junior National Team had
accomplished its second regional achievement
by Winning the first place in the fifth GCC
Junior Volleyball Championship held in Abu
Dhabi during 8 – 13 August 1996.
Qatar Volleyball National Team had achieved
a big win by winning the 2nd place in the
Pan-Arab Championship held in Cairo, Egypt
during the period 18 – 25 August 1996.
Qatar Men Volleyball National Team had
accomplished a great achievement by Winning
the second GCC MEN Volleyball Championship
held during the period 22 –28 October 1997.
Qatar Junior Volleyball Team had ranked 4th
in the Asian seventh Youth Volleyball
Championship held in1994.
Qatar Men Volleyball National Team ranked
8th in the Asian Ninth Volleyball
Championship held in 1997.
1997 QVBA was declared Best Asian
Championship Organizer.
Qatar Men Volleyball National Team had
accomplished its straight second great
achievement by Winning the third GCC MEN
Volleyball Championship in Bahrain during
the period 9 –16 October 1999.
Al-Rayyan Sports club was the Winner of the
first Pan-Arab Cup Holder Clubs
Championship, in Libya during 15 – 25
October 2000.
Qatar Youth Volleyball National Team had won
the 3rd and got the bronze medal in the
eleventh Pan Arab Men Volleyball
Championship held in Jordan during 3 –9
September 2003.
Qatar Men Volleyball National Team had won
the second place in the fourth GCC MEN
Volleyball Championship held in Saudi Arabia
during the period 6 –12 October 2001.
Qatar Youth Volleyball National Team was the
Winner of the eighth Pan Arab Youth
Volleyball Championship held in Doha during
12 –18 August 2002.
Qatar Junior Volleyball National Team had
won the second place in the eighth GCC
Junior Volleyball Championship, Doha during
the period 4 – 10 October 2002.
Qatar Men Volleyball National Team had won
the second place in the fifth GCC MEN
Volleyball Championship held in Muscat
during the period 5 –11 November 2003.
Qatar Sports club had won the 3rd place and
got the bronze medals in the 22nd Amir
Faisal Bin Fahad’s Cup Championship for
Pan-Arab Men Volleyball clubs held in Jordan
during the period 5-13 December 2003.
Al-Rayyan Sports Club had won the 3rd place
in the 22nd GCC Volleyball clubs held in
Riyadh during 17 – 23 December 2003.
Al-Rayyan Sports Club had won the third
place in the 23rd GCC Volleyball clubs held
in Muscat during 11 – 17 March 2004.
Qatar Police Volleyball Team made its first
big achievement by Winning the third
Pan-Arab Police Volleyball Championship,
held in Doha during 1 – 8 May 1004.
