Gentlemen,
I would
find pleasure in telling you that I received
a message from the President of FIVB Rules
of the Game Commission conveying to us that
the Commission in it last meeting in
Lausanne had approved with appreciation the
Golden Formula research on volleyball
presented to the Commission by Mr. Hussein
Imam Ali, QVBA expert, FIVB Coaches
Instructor and Member of FIVB Coaching
Commission
The
President of FIVB Rules of the Game
Commission stated in his letter that the
Golden Formula research had been
considerably discussed and the Commission
found the solutions and recommendations
proposed by GFR was significantly detailed
and of interest, and that they agree with
the Commission’s ideas for treating the
problem of short rally time in volleyball
with the purpose of increasing the flying
ball time. Generally the scientific approach
of the GFR was unanimously appraised by the
Commission
The
Golden Formula aims to overcome certain
historical technical difficulties, mainly
the dominance of attack line over the
defense.The findings of your forthcoming
tests on the GF will be expected to create a
balance between the offensive and defensive
roles; this would result in increasing the
rally time and consequently will increase
suspense and interest in the Game, attract
fans, the media, sponsors and ultimately the
Game would hopefully gain more popularity.
We are
pleased that the GF has got the green light
to be tested globally. The FIVB’s letter
officially assigned Qatar Volleyball
Association to organize, on behalf of the
FIVB, the first practical tests on the
findings and recommendations of the GF.
Therefore Doha would be the springboard of
global tests that will start here by the end
of June 2007 at club level events.
Finally
we wish every success to the Golden Formula
project and that the tests would bear fruits
for supporting the forward march of the Game
at global and national levels.
Thank you for your support.
Best wishes,
Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al Mal
President,
